Crafting with Kids - Personalizing with Vinyl - by Karen

This is a super fun craft that's very easy to do and a great craft for these summer days. If you have a craft-loving kid at home, they will enjoy adding their own personal touches to this personalized door sign.
I designed and sized my daughter's name using my electronic cutter and software. I then cut her name (and her friend's name, too) out of vinyl (color won't matter - I used basic black) and weeded out the extra.

For the next step, I prepped small 6x6 canvases and then applied the vinyl letters. For best results, make sure the vinyl is really secure to the canvas, especially around the edges.

Next is the fun part for the kids! Set them up with paints (we used acrylics), and let them paint all over the canvas. When they are done painting, carefully remove the vinyl lettering.

If your kiddos still want more, bring out the glitter, sequins, gems, stickers and whatever other crafty bits you can find and let them bling out their door signs. Here is my daughter's finished project.

Add a ribbon to the back and it's ready for hanging.

4th of July Decor by Melanie

Yay! It is summertime here in the USA and our country's birthday is just around the corner. Melanie here today to share a project I made to add a festive touch to our house. I had a block of wood painted red left over from my daughter's graduation party. Since it was the perfect color for the 4th of July I decided to decorate it with SRM products :) 4th of July stickers galore are available from SRM. I added burlap, twine, and jute to give some texture to the project.

I began by wrapping different border stickers around the block. Then I added in shape and word stickers.
In the lower half of the block, I wrapped burlap around the block. Then I adhered the tag shape sticker on top and finished it off with some twine and jute.

I love the festive look this adds to our home as we prepare to celebrate our country.

Mini Celebrate Card Set by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today, I'm sharing a sweet little card set with you.

Aren't those little ice cream cones adorable?!...Yum! :)

Now because these ice cream cones are on the smaller side, I wanted to use more than one on my cards.

I simply thought of a couple different layouts to use with them and then made two cards each with the layouts. Once done, I did some coloring with colored pencils and then added a simple sentiment underneath my cones.

To finish things off, I added all my cards and envelopes in a embossed glassine bag tied off with some jute twine. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Disney Adventures with Clear Stickers by Christine

Hi there SRM Fans! Christine joining you today with a fun, Disney themed layout.  One of the best things about the clear stickers is that so many of the sets are so versatile.  I have consistently found that I love to use them on scrapbook layouts documenting a visit to Disney.  Today I have a new one to show you!

As you can see I used various SRM Stickers to get the job done and worked them in throughtout the layout.  Here's a process video showing the creation of the whole layout:

The Black Sticker Stitches continue to be a staple in my stash, so when I discovered that one of the hearts in the collection already had stitches printed on them, I knew the sticker stitches would be a perfect addition to the other two!

I topped each part of the title with little quotes from the Express Yourself/Everyday Boy sticker set.  I love how they subtly add to the title to make it more interesting and have more detail.

I also pulled out this quote from the Express Yourself/Everyday Boy sticker set to add to the top and build a cluster off of.  I thought this was an especially good quote for a day full of fun!

The next time you are creating don't forget to pull out your SRM Stickers and see how those fabulous clear sentiments can work in different ways for you!

Coffee Love by Michele

Good morning my crafty, coffee loving friends! We are so excited to be participating in the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and to be a Super Sponsor too!

Michele here with a card today using the new set from SRM called, Coffee Plans! It is such a fun set!  First, here's a look at the stamp! Leave a comment and you might just WIN it!

I loved all of the images and thought, why not use ALL of them on my card? ;).

I cut each image in a different shaped circle and sponged a bit of pink ink while the die was still in place.  I used Copics for the images and added glossy accents to each.  I think I went a little nutty with the glitter.....but hey! Glitter makes everything better right?  (Or is that chocolate?)
I used a large LOVE Die cut because I really wanted to get across how much I LOVE my coffee! I added a few sequins, and a little felt heart to finish off the card.

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Glow Stick Tubes by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share a project that is perfect for the 4th of July and, as an added bonus it's easy and fast! In my book, it doesn't get much better than an easy project that your kids will love during the busy summer months.

We love taking glow sticks with us when we go out to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Decorating some SRM Magic Wand Tubes is a fun way to package the glow sticks and make sure they don't get cracked and activated ahead of time.

The Magic Wand Tubes are big enough to hold about 5 glow sticks, which is enough to make a couple of bracelets and a necklace. To decorate the tubes I used a mix of SRM's 4th of July themed stickers from Say It With Stickers 4th of JulyExpress Yourself 4th of July, and Stickers By the Dozen Patriotic

Just fill your tube with glow sticks, decorate with stickers, and you've got a fast and fun 4th of July treat!

Traveler's Journal by Tobi

Hi there, it's Tobi here with a DIY planner using a traveller's journal and of course, SRM stamps.

Here are some things that have added up to my current planner situation:

~ I've tried the planner thing... I don't get it, OR I'm not good at it.

~ I've recently gotten into hand lettering and have started to collect journals to practice in.

~ I had a very stressful month and kept a notebook of everything i had to remember and keep track of and it really worked for me.

So, because of these factors, I thought i would continue with the notebook/hand-lettering/journal format, but organize it a little better using various stamps and supplies.

So I've got my day divided into three zones:
1) School (I'm a teacher)
2) After school - which includes clubs and rehearsals/performances
3) dinner (we have meal-plans)

As much as I can, I try to fill in the spots using bounce lettering (the style of calligraphy I am working on) so I can practice as many letter combos as possible.

Here's a mostly blank page so you can see how it looks before I fill it out:

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this was inspiring!

Thanks Card by Amber

Hello SRM Sticker fans. It's Amber here, today I have this fun thank you card to share. My card features two different SRM stamp sets, BIG Praise God and BIG Thank You.

I used one of the border stamps from SRM's BIG Praise God stamp set to create my background. I repeatedly stamped the border in a bright pink ink across my light pink cardstock. Once I had the entire background stamped I die cut my stamped background piece with a large pierced rectangle die and misted the entire piece with some Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist. I let my panel dry over night and then stamped the big "Thanks' stamp in black ink from SRM's BIG Thank You stamp set and stamped the second half of my sentiment from a stamp set I had in my stash.

I wanted to add a fun little image to go along with my sentiment so I stamped a cute little penguin onto some white cardstock, colored him with some Spectrum Noir markers, and fussy cut around him. I added him to the upper right side of my card right above my sentiment with some foam tape. Cute, right? This card didn't take long at all, you could easily recreate this with any sentiment stamp set you have in your stash. I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for visiting!
