Clearly the Best by Shantaie

Hello my crafty darlings, Shantaie here with a Mother's day (or anyday) gift idea for someone special in your life. I treasure so many of the Mother figures that have graced my life over the years, as well as countless dear friends that uplifted me in various ways so that I could be a better Mother to my girls (and all my many "adopted" teens over the years).  Motherhood and Mothering are lifelong jobs, so a sweet little gift seems in order don't you think? :)

I started with a clear purse box and added a gold dotty vellum panel in the back, I began layering with a 4" white doily and a floral frame. A little swirled circle, and a die cut flower sit just behind a floral printed paper flower, and those two ribbons creating the perfect place for the greeting using mothers day express yourself stickers.

I left this gift box empty to allow me to fill it later with a gift later, and to allow you to decide what you can fill yours with! Chocolate, gift cards, or a pretty bracelet are some of my favorites! ;)

Thanks for dropping by!  Have a crafty day!

SRM Disney Gift Box by Angi

Hello again SRM fans! Angi from Twenty Five Smiles here!
I've got a fun project for all of you Disney fans out there.

The last time that I was at Disney World I bought a bunch of key chains in hopes of using them on craft projects. I finally came up with a fun idea. Here it is! It's a gift box designed to surprise the kiddos with a trip to Disney.

I layered the top of an SRM kraft box with lacea doily, and a scalloped punch piece. I then took off the metal key loop and adhered the Minnie shaped key chain on top.

I filled the box with candy and placed a message inside that reads -"Surprise! We are going to Disney!" Your kids can use the key chain on a backpack during your trip too!

I hope you liked my little gift idea. Be sure to check out all of the great products in the SRM Store!

It's In The Bag Pink Lemonade Sweets by Shantaie

Hi!  Shantaie here at SRM and today with a trio of sweet lemonade chevron embossed glassine bags for you! Filled with old fashioned lemon drops, these bags are a treat!

I cut layered lemon wedges with my Silhouette in shades that instantly bring to mind glasses of ice cold pink lemonade, and breezy sunny days! A confection of a tag and ticket cluster add a pop to the left corner and is made of the sweetest ingredients. A bakers twine bow ties up a bit of gold sequin trim and a flag showcasing a sticker sentiment from life is good and two rows of pastel borders .

A floral pin, a wood tag, and a little ticket finish it up, and looks so happy on top of that glittery lemon!

I love the way glassine bags give you a little peek into what is inside, this one with a row of pink stitching and another border along the bottom is soft and sweet just like a frothy pink lemonade!

Words of Faith Cards by Christine

The Words of Faith stamps aren't just for Bible Journaling they work great for cards too!  Christine joining you today with some faith based cards.

It's always nice to have cards on hand that are perfect for a variety of situations and this one fills that need.  I did a bunch of layers of various products from my stash and then added the "Trust in the Lord" from the Words of Faith Stamp Set as a sentiment.  I love the springy feel that it has and that in combination with the sentiment it just has an uplifting feeling to it!

I love that there are sentiments in this stamp set that can be for comforting, encouraging, and celebrating - it covers a wide variety and can not only meet your Bible Journaling needs but be perfect for all your cards too!

Which sentiment is your favorite?

Feel Better Soon Card by Juliana

Hello SRM Fans, Juliana here with you today to share a bit of spring time stamping with you using the new Jane's Doodles Rain or Shine stamp set.

I began by stamping all of my images onto watercolor paper and then colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. These pens contain a water based dye that can be blended to achieve a wonderful watercolored look.

Next, I fussy cut each image and adhered it to the die cut circle with double sided foam adhesive. I hope the cheerful spring-like colors I used will uplight the recipient of this card and bring them a bit of happiness on their road to recovery!

Coffee Times Three by Lesley

Hello crafty friends! Lesley here! I love coffee themed stamps and in our SRM store, we carry Jane's Doodle stamps!!! Jane has an adorable coffee set called Coffee Time that is so versatile and easy to use!

I have made a few different cards with this set. Sometimes I need some thank you cards on hand that I can use in my classroom. So this design made for a quick and easy card!

I am also into watercolouring and I wanted to create a watercoloured card using the coffee set. I decided to use the sentiment "You Warm My Heart" and I decided to do a loose watercolour.

The "warm" part made me think of melting hearts!

And finally I created a little "Lovey" themed coffee card! Simple and easy to make but very special for that certain someone in your life!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope this inspired you to make a few simple but sweet cards for your stash!

Hello Muslin Bag by Cassonda

Hello!  Look who has dropped in on us today to share a wonderful DIY project using SRM's Muslin Bags and some stickers!  It's Cassonda Tadlock who was on our team last year, and I love her style!

For this project Cassonda used one of SRM's Muslin Bags  sprayed it with 3 different colored mist sprays, let it dry and them embellished it.  SRM's clear stickers are perfect for this project.  They melt down into the bag.

Cassonda added 2 large green beads to the string end of the bag and she had a wonderful little bag to give to a friend who had recently helped her out.  Her friend loved it!  Who wouldn't?

Here are the SRM products that Cassonda used.  Just click on the image to find more details.

These bags are perfect for gifts, treats or just because!  What would you do with them?

Want to be featured on the SRM Blog?  Post your project to our Flickr

Sparkly Vinyl Golden Pineapple dish towel Shantaie Fowler

Hello!  Shantaie here today working with glitter vinyl.  And have I got a DIY project for you!  Be sure to click on images to enlarge and see more detail.

I am gasp out loud, "I have to have it", OMG in love with all the gorgeous gold home accessories in the shops. I love the elegant beautiful items as much as all those cheeky silly sayings we are seeing everywhere.
I have this "thing" for hand towels. I mean I have a real thing!! I love them to be fun, and pretty. I like to match my decor .....or my parties, or just because. Flour sack towels are so soft and easy to personalize, and are really budget friendly, they are my favorite!

I used a simple open design to cut my sparkly gold heat transfer vinyl, and ironed it onto my prewashed towel. Don't worry if you think the vinyl will be rough, it's not, and will wash beautifully!

Heat transfer vinyl is seriously easy to use, just follow the instructions ( don't forget to flip the design) and you can transform or personalize almost anything!!!

Planner Spread by Christine

If there was ever a time of year to need a planner, it's right now.  My goodness the schedule is busy! Christine joining you today and here's just one week of my April planner where I incorporated all kinds of fun SRM supplies!

For this week I decided to really play with my SRM Planner Stamps and my Black Le Pen!

I used both the Clear Stamp Planner/Banner and Clear Stamp Planner/Notes to Self to highlight things I needed to do and then added my handwriting around them!  I also added in the fun April from the Months Large/Snappy Sticker Set!

I haven't incorporated very many of my Sticker Stitches in the past so this time I got out my Halloween ones so that I could use some orange and used them as a border.  Love the extra fun that they add!

How's your April Planner coming along?  We'd love to see them over in our Facebook group, Planner Sticker Fun!

A Birthday Bundle by Lesley

Hi everyone! Lesley here! Spring has arrived and with it comes lots of pretty pinks and greens! I love this time of year and look forward to crafting with the bright and happy colours of the sky and flowers! Today I am sharing a card and clear purse birthday bundle. I love making little matchy sets for friends and family!

I used the Fancy Sentiments-Birthday for my focal point and it fit perfectly on a white Punched Pieceds-Large. Then I used the Birthday Cupcake from Stickers by the Dozen-Birthday. These little cupcakes make for a quick and pretty card! I layered the cupcake with a hot pink Punched Piece. I also used a piece of the White Lancaster Doliy to add a feminine touch to the card.

The little clear purse of one of my favourite SRM products. They come together to quickly!! Again, I used a cupcake and mounted it on the punched piece.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and that you have fun crafting! Thank you so much for stopping by!
