Guest Designer, Kim Kesti

Please welcome Kim Kesti as today's Guest Designer! We are thrilled that she's back with another collection of projects, this time using our Princess Stickers...

Kim Kesti is a full time Mommy to eight children and enjoys paper crafting, decorating, photography, and quilting. She is lucky enough to work with Paper Crafts Magazine as a Go-to Gal, her dream job. She's been crafting since around 2004 and is mostly inspired to create "fun and cute" projects that are simple and easy to reproduce.

Kim says, "Playing with SRM Stickers is just plain fun. There are so many cute designs to choose from. The Princess sticker sheet really jumped out at me this time; maybe it's because my Eloise has just entered the "princess/fairy/ballerina" stage. She like nothing more than to prance around with her tutu on. I figured a magic wand would be right up her alley. Sure enough, I could barely finish it and she took immediate ownership. (Check my personal blog for photos of the wand in action!) The treasure box and card are for a little friend of Ello's who has a birthday coming up. We're sure she will love it after we fill the box with trinkets and hair bows. Thanks for creating such great products, SRM!"

Thank you, Kim!

You can hop over to Kim's Blog to see Eloise with her wand and be sure to take a look at the Creating Keepsakes Blog where SRM is in the spotlight. SRM Stickers is Guest Blogging at Creating Keepsakes! Have a wonderful weekend, we're back on Monday with another Paper of the Week feature and chance to win prizes!

Altered Tin/Advent Calendar

Elizabeth Carney took the idea of an advent calendar to new highs with this amazing altered tin. Along with various SRM Stickers, Elizabeth used modge podge, Bo Bunny's Father Christmas Collection, die cuts, twine, and buttons. Can you spot the SRM border strip at the top of the container?

Elizabeth says, "I've had this " tea box" from Starbucks for awhile. I brought it home with me one day, knowing that someday I'd create something with it! I created this form of an advent calendar for our family to use each year. It counts down the days until Christmas using scripture to tell the story about Jesus' birth {the reason for the season!}. I really love how it turned out!"

Marvy Permanent Markers; Kathy Racoosin

Are you ready for more inspiration using Marvy's new LePlume Permanent Markers? Kathy Racoosin, on of our 2010 Design Team members, is here with a project you will adore! You can also view Kathy's Blog for a complete tutorial.

Kathy says, "Excited" and "thrilled" was an understatement when I got the news that I was able to give the new Marvy alcohol markers a try. It didn't take long to fall in love with the colors, the selection, and the tip on these LePlume Markers. They blend so nicely and work great from tip to tip. I traveled with my new markers to Montana & to a stamp class. Everyone who colored with them was just as delighted as I was. I think everyone should start with the LePlume Markers.

Kathy used label die cuts, SRM Stickers, rubber stamps, and Marvy Permanent Markers to create a set of coordinating labels;

Kathy used her handmade labels to create storage containers for her new Marvy Markers by covering soup cans!

Lastly, here's a greeting card using the same concept;

Marvy Permanent Markers; Tobi Crawford

Tobi Crawford is here today to share cards she created using Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers as part of our ongoing feature and giveaway!

Tobi says; Thank you for the opportunity to "test drive" the Marvy LePlume markers. I had a great time colouring various projects and I was pleasantly surprised by the array of colours available and you can't beat the price point! They perform just like Copic markers and they've grouped the colours into easy-to-understand blending families that makes choosing your markers a snap. I look forward to adding to my collection (my LSS just started carrying them!!) and I am now a life-long fan.

Marvy Permanent Markers; Amy Crockett

Welcome back! Amy Crockett is here today with her projects using new Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers. Keep in mind that these markers are BRAND NEW and alcohol-based, not water-based as Marvy's previous markers. They are comparable to Copics - they blend, absorb without pilling your cardstock, and are amazing markers for only $2.99 each.

Amy says; I have always loved stamping and I just started coloring with some of the more expensive alcohol markers a year ago. I then received the new Marvy LePlume permanant markers to try and I found that their colors were beautiful, vibrant and easy to work with. They blend just as well as the more expensive markers and the ink went on very evenly to make shading and blending easy. I only use the brush tip when I color with markers, so I didn’t miss the chisel tip at all. I would highly recommend these markers to anyone who would like to try coloring with markers, or even for those who would like to add to their marker collection without paying so much.

Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers are available in 141 colors, have a brush tip, they're inky, and so easy to use. We asked several SRM current and former Designers to give them a try. Here are my projects using LePlume Markers and SRM Stickers. I used some of my favorite supplies; Cosmo Cricket paper, rubber stamps, hand-stitching, new SRM Christmas stickers, and of course my new Marvy markers.
